Parks for Pollinators – BioBlitz – Kickoff meeting - Santa Clara

  • Everett N. "Eddie" Souza Park (San Tomas & Monroe) 2380 Monroe Street Santa Clara, CA, 95051 United States (map)

Join the City of Santa Clara and parks throughout the country in a fun challenge to see how many pollinators species can be documented during Pollinator Month in June. It is easy to participate by joining our event on Sunday, June 9 at 10am or making observations on your own using the iNaturalist app. With the iNaturalist app, you just take a picture of a pollinator (bee, butterfly, bat, etc.) or pollinator-friendly plant and the community will help identify which species it is. You can participate by exploring the nature and wildlife in the new Everett N. "Eddie" Souza Park & community garden (San Tomas & Monroe). The park is loaded with plants that attract pollinator animals of all kinds. Any observation you make will count during our event. The person with the most pictures will win a goodie bag from the Parks & Recreation Department. Visit the park anytime or www.santaclaraca.gov/communitygarden for the Community Garden's open hours.
